Died suddenly of a (SAH) Aneurysm to the brain
Everyone was unaware that he had a bleed, even himself, he was still working, talking, driving, just had a headache,then the 18th of October came, when it became obvious something was quite wrong..
George Hooley
Was the most polite, kind, funniest, nicest of men and he only had to be around you for a minute and you would know, he was a true gentlemen.
'George was a superb craftsmen in his trade and has credits and distinctions when an apprentice in the City And Guilds only just being beaten to the first place in the whole of England, he followed his father, grandfather, and great grandfather in the specialist craft of Mastic Asphalting'
He was never a angry person, nor a grumpy one, It almost seemed like the smile was fixed on his face, he was such a happy, caring person, if you we're upset, he would soon be cheering you up, and if you needed help with anything, you could rely on him to be there.
He was the funniest person you would ever meet, always doing funny things, and saying his much remembered line "egg ana bacon ana chips ana beans ana two toasta!'
He also loved his funny texts, pictures, videos and jokes. He will be especially remembered for his incredibly quick one liners!
Nobody could ever be as quick as George.
He is such a caring individual,
He would stay in the shop down the road if he thought anyone was a potential threat to the owners to make sure they we're safe, he even run after someone who robbed the shop, twice as I can remember!!
He loved his grandchildren, and children and would treat us all equally, and he always had a soft spot in him where he would always forgive.
He'll just tell you to, Keep Smiling.
He has a lot of friends he was every ones friend, he was not just a brother, uncle, dad, granddad, son, gentlemen, and more he was the best friend you could ever want. He even made the nurses at Southampton University Hospitals cry, and he was not even awake!
We would like to thank the Neurosciences Department @ Southampton Hospital (Nurological Intensive Care Unit) for everything they done to try and help. They we're truly amazing.
Before he got a injection to help him rest in the ambulance, they took his watch off and I went to him 'I have your watch now!' and he looked at me & smiled, then before we knew it, the sirens we're sounding, the lights we're flashing..

hi dad im so sorry i have not been on here in a long time but that does not mean there hasnt been a day that passes when i dont think of u a lot of things have happend in such a short time and its not all be a easy ride been a very rocky road for us all but i know u are watching over us and ur by our sisdes everyday ..... its still so hard without u dad i have the days where i wish i could just speak to or just pick up the phone and call u life would be so much diffrent if u were still with us it would be my turn to have the family partys now as im up the road from our old house it would of been great but i am carry on just like u and mum did and thats partys every now and then lol . well dad its over 4 yrs now and still cant belive it 4 yrs where has the time gone how have we got through this ??? it must be u sending ur strong williness to us all tellin us we can go on we can be happy because one day we will meet u again and we will have that hug we all so wish for ........ well dad as u know im on my own once again but this time its for good me and the kids are much happier now and we are all looking after mum as much as we can but u know mum she has her ups and downs its been so hard for her and it kills me to see her so sad if only there was a magic wound that would turn bk time and make u all better that u didnt have to leave none of this would be happering but i know that one thing is so true god really does only take the best way too soon u was one in a millon dad u was just the best and i thank you for everything u ever did for me bein there for me always im a brave girl now lol i go to dentist on me own altho i know ur there with me everytime ;) ......... all the grandchildren are doin really well and we now waitin on ur baby boy rich and the lovely miss kirsti to have there baby boy number 2 its exciting now as not long till he due chrismas day i think ........im gonna leave it here for so will leave u lots of hugs on ur wall with a load of love and kissess (hugs)xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx(hug) xxxxxxxxxxxx LOVE YOU DAD xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
